The Volklinger Hutte "Volklingen Ironworks" is located in the German town of Volklingen, Saarland.

Volklingen is a town and a municipality in the district of Saarbrucken, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated near the border with France, on the river Saar, approx. 10 km west of Saarbricken.

The Volklinger Hutte was founded in 1873 by Julius Buch. Under the direction of the Rochling family (from 1881 on) it developed into one of the most important iron and steel works in Europe.

During its heydays, 17.000 people worked here. They manned the furnaces, stoves, coke ovens, and sintering machines.
