Djamal Abdoun is a French-born Algerian player who started out his career in France at the age of 16 in 2002 with the youth team of French giants Paris Saint-Germain, where the midfielder stayed for only one season. After 10 appearance and two goals in three seasons with another French side, AC Ajaccio, he was loaned out to English side Manchester City in 2006, where he failed to make a single appearance. His prospects took a turn for the better the next season with a move back to France, and he managed to make a good impression with Sedan, playing 33 times and scoring 5 goals in that first season.
