Rafik Halliche started out his career in Algeria at the age of 18 when he joined NA Hussein Dey in 2004. Four years and 44 appearances later, and after many European sides expressed interest in the young defender, Halliche chose to move to Portugal and signed a 4-year contract with Portuguese giants Benfica. The Eagles in turn immediately loaned him out to another Portuguese side Nacional, where he continues to play on loan until the present day.
