        Jawaharlal Nehru was a political leader of the Indian National Congress, a pivotal figure in the Indian independence movement and the first Prime Minister of Independent India. He was also key figure in International politics in the post-war period, and was one of the founding figures of the non-alignment. Popularly referred to as Panditji (Scholar), Nehru was also a writer, scholar and amateur historian, and the patriarch of Nehru-Gandhi Family, one of the most influential forces in Indian politics.
