East Jesus Nowhere is a song by the American punk rock band Green Day. It was released as the third single from their eighth album 21st Century Breakdown. The single was released October 19, 2009. The song rebukes fundamentalist religion and was written by singer/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong after he attended a church service where a friend's baby was baptized.
